Turkish Dinner

Turkey was wonderful. We managed to only spend 250 dollars. I still can't believe that, but that was the total. Our friend was also very generous and paid for our water and cokes. he also bought us some really good cookies, as well as taking us to his house for dinner. He was Greek Orthodox Christian, but I think the rest of his family is Muslim( other than his wife)

The dinner was really wonderful. The soup was lentils and tomato and some other spices. What made it really good was the lemon we squeezed in it. The yogurt was so yummy and the Baklava for dessert was so good. The whole experience was such an adventure.

The next day he took us to the movies. We saw Eclipse. It was in English and I thought it was pretty funny that I was watching such an American film in Turkey.

All in all it was a lovely place. Very different from home, but in a good way.
